Welcome

As we slowly emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, we at The FARM at Mintwood continue to make the health safety of all our guests a top priority. At this time we are cautiously opening to individual stays and group gatherings for those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.  Please keep this in mind as you make your inquiry regarding time to be spent at The FARM. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

We are a “work in progress”!

The FARM at Mintwood is about community-building. We work to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment where people can come together to build relationships and to come to a deeper awareness of the quality of the relationships they may already have. This might mean meeting and coming to know others, but it also may mean coming to better know oneself, one’s connection with one’s God, and/or one’s relationship to nature and to the larger world. We do this at the FARM by hosting small gatherings, some spiritual, some for fun, but almost all with both elements. We host book clubs, prayer groups, community and church gatherings, retreats and other small not-for-profit events. We offer space in the main house and in the adjacent Veronica Hall.

The FARM at Mintwood is a place where you can meet one-on-one with either a spiritual advisor or “spiritual companion”. If you would like more information, contact the Charlotte Spirituality Center. Sessions in Healing Touch energy therapy are also available on an individual basis by appointment.

The FARM at Mintwood is also a place where one can come for individual quiet reflection time. Come for the day, and enjoy quiet time on one of our two porches, where you can watch our birds feed and play. If you so desire, you can stay for the night! We have two guest rooms available for overnight retreat stays. Included is private use of kitchen and dining facilities, as well as a living room for reading and relaxing.

As mentioned above, we are a “work in progress”. We hope to soon begin offering new retreats and programs. We now have wheelchair access and have added an “Upper Room” retreat space, as well as an outdoor medicine wheel prayer area. Our future plans for our facilities and grounds include meditation paths, a prayer labyrinth, and more! We are always dreaming!
